Biography
Periklis Pravitas was born in Thessaloniki in 1982. He studied at the School of Marble Sculpture in Tinos and subsequently at the Athens School of Fine Arts (ASFA), where he attended the First Sculpture Workshop under the supervision of Professor Theodoros Papagiannis.He lives and works in Athens as a visual artist. His work has been presented in solo and group exhibitions in galleries and Municipal Art Galleries, as well as within major institutional frameworks, including Platforms Project (2019–2021), the Byzantine and Christian Museum in Athens, the Eugenides Foundation, the Municipal Art Gallery of Hydra, the Municipal Art Gallery of Piraeus, the Municipal Art Gallery of Corinth, the Biennale of Young Artists from Europe and the Mediterranean (2010), and the 2nd Athens Biennale.
In parallel with his artistic practice, he has worked as a set designer and visual artist for theatre, collaborating with Hara Kotsali, Bijoux de Kant, Ioli Andreadi, and arisandmartha. Over the past 10 years, he has been working with the Acropolis Monuments Restoration Service (YSMA).
