Biography
Odysseas Glykas, (b. Athens), is an artist who lives and works in Athens. He studied at the School of Fine Arts of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, where he specialized in Fine and Applied Arts. He graduated from the Sculpture Workshop in 2017. Since then, Glykas has built a versatile career working in design and construction of sets for theater, TV and cinema, which also influences his studio practice. His body of work encompasses sculptures and visual constructions that feature found natural elements combined with artificial materials. Glykas artistic focus lies in exploring the interaction between humans and the environment, creating pieces that provoke thought and dialogue about our relationship with the world. He has showcased his work in both solo and group exhibitions in Greece and abroad, including "Karga" at Ekfrasi-Yianna Grammatopoulou Gallery in Athens (2023), "The Machine in the Ghost" at TALC Studio in Athens (2022), "Clockwise" at Art Athina with Ekfrasi-Yianna Grammatopoulou Art Gallery in Athens (2020), and "Cream: Whipped" at Conningsby Gallery in London (2019).
